Building

• A platform of my own, so I stop rebuilding the boring parts. A wellness log, an investment ledger, a film ranker all hang off it.
• frida, a Telegram bot. She logs my training, answers questions about my own data, and nags me in German.
• Receipts in one end, tax paperwork out the other.
• A wine scout that reads the list and tells me what to order.
• kiezpong, every outdoor ping pong table in Berlin — and an excuse to meet people in your Kiez.

Keeping

• Fountain pens, notebooks, letters that actually get posted.
• A gravel frame built by Nicolo in Italy.
• A kitchen put in by a friend.
• Bags sewn in a workshop I could drive to.
• Boots resoled, denim patched. Learning to do more of it myself.
• Pans that will outlive me.
• About 5,000 km a year, and as many nights outside as I can get.
